Workshop Format

There will be a brief introductory session attended by everyone, followed by two separate breakout sessions that meet independently.

The Introductory Session will set the tone for the remainder of the workshop by providing general guidance for breakout sessions, and a presentation with the goal of making sure all attendees have a basic background of biometric issues.

Breakout Session I will focus on application issues.
There will be three breakout groups:

Breakout Group IA - Border Security and Transportation
Breakout Group IB - Law Enforcement, Courts and Corrections
Breakout Group IC - Critical Infrastructure Security and Force Protection

Breakout Session II will focus on technical issues.
There will be three breakout groups:

Breakout Group IIA - Interoperability Standards
Breakout Group IIB - Biometric Evaluations
Breakout Group IIC - Biometric R&D

Attendees will be able to choose which breakout group(s) they attend. Individual agencies should work to ensure that they have adequate attendance to cover their interests in each breakout group, while minimizing their overall number of attendees to ensure a manageable workshop. There will be a two-hour (on your own) lunch and networking break between the two breakout sessions.
